I'm a sailor gone astray, since I was a child,
I have never left the sea, she's my only wife,
forty years have passed by now, I've forgotten all about the Earth,
but my ship is falling apart, I must return to the port.

I have forgotten, their language and my name,
since my ancestors were fish, I'm like a sailor stranded in the desert.
I'm going to die here and there won't even be any fish to eat my body.
